Here's to a relaxing weekend...spent maybe in the woods. If only treehouse beds like this existed in everyone's backyards. I would probably spend a good chunk of my weekend there.

Antonio Berardi Pre-Fall 2012

I think it's funny how the style world has created additional seasons. Now there is pre-fall, and pre-spring. These new seasons are all the more reason for new fashion pieces and trends.

Antonio Berardi has some interesting stuff. His pre-fall collection is very science fiction looking. I love to see that in style these days. I don't think I would wear much of this stuff, but it is great fun to look at!

Beta 5 Chocolate

I love chocolate! Most people do, in fact I think I have only met 1 person who did not like chocolate and that was because they thought they were allergic to it. How horrible!

Beta 5 is a chocolate place in Vancouver, BC Canada. I have never been there, but it is definitely on my destination list. I am obsessed at looking at their website and checking in on a regular basis to see what they are up to.

I am always impressed with the new and genius things that Beta 5 comes up with. How do they think of these things! I want to try each and every one of their creations to know if they taste just as good as they look. Yum!!

Mason Jar Picnic Pies

I'm sure you've seen these pies in a jar before. Someone out there was creative and thought to make personal pies in a jar that are also portable. When I saw this idea I loved it! I am all about mason jars and personalized and portable things.

Recently we had plans to take a picnic to a nearby vineyard to hear an outdoor evening concert. I decided this would be the perfect time to make these pies because they would be portable. No one thinks to bring pie to a picnic. So I set out to make mason jar berry pies.

Little did I know how difficult these things would be to make!! Here is the RECIPE that I used, but if you make these, I highly recommend finding a picture tutorial. I had trouble getting the crust into the jar, and then at the end with everything bubbling over the jar. It was messy!

Despite the mess I had with these mason jar pies and the fact that they did NOT look as beautiful as I was hoping, they were delicious. And functional. I was able to put the lids on these jar pies and throw them into the cooler for our picnic. Everyone was happy and excited to be eating their own little portable pie at our vineyard concert picnic. I may just make these again.

Burberry pre-fall

I don't know what this whole 'Pre-Fall' fashion season is, but I'm liking what I see in this Burberry collection. For me, August is all about heat indexes and wearing the least clothing possible. I would never be caught dead in this 'pre-fall' collection in August. Come October though, I'd be all over these styles. Especially those browns, mustards, and greens. I'm loving it!

I've been seeing stripes EVERYWHERE this summer. And I love it! Stripes are so nautical and beachy. I just got back from a trip to Michigan and have to admit that I packed a lot of stripes. They match just about anything and are perfect for summer trips.

I just bought the striped dress in the last picture and I love it. I promise it looks much more feminine  in person than in the picture. And it is on SALE!
